
Necmettin Erbakan University (NEU) was established as Konya University. On April 11, 2012, its name was changed to "Necmettin Erbakan University" in memory of former Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan.
NEU is one of the three public universities in Konya.
The main objectives of the NEU’s youth programme are:
To achieve these objectives, NEU organises a range of educational programmes, including seminars, training courses and symposia, in close co- operation with non-governmental youth organisations, youth services and networks.
The educational philosophy of the European Youth Centre is based on the ideas of international exchange, shared learning and intercultural education. Being an educational centre, NEU provides expert support in an ideal setting for non-formal learning, innovation and experimentation by the participants in its activities, who act as ‘multipliers’ in local, regional, national and European youth workers.
'Combating Islamophobia Through Intercultural Work' is a multilateral youth worker exchange to be held in Tunis, Tunisia for 6 days. This project will get together a group of 30 youth workers.

1: PRELIMINARY RESEARCH REPORT about the state of Islamophobia in Europe.
2: GOOD PRACTICE EXAMPLES (GP) about practical skills and information on how to overcome Islamophobia Minimum
15 GP per partner – a selection of Best Practices during project meetings, collection in a handbook translated in all partners’ National languages.
3: WEB PLATFORM – it is a database of materials produced and collected by the partnership but also a way to give evidence to all activities details. It consists in:
- a webpage collecting all details, evidence of the activities, outcomes, and outputs in several languages
- a Facebook page of the project created to support the dissemination
- a Blog section (integrated into the webpage) in order to collect opinions, suggestions and spread info about interesting topics (at least 30 per partner) Webpage sections: Project details, Partners details, Meetings, Blog section, Good practices, Other results, Contacts
4: METHODOLOGIES and APPROACHES training embed in youth exchange Event in order to transfer the knowledge about the methodologies and approaches about the selected project topics- Materials presented during the training activities by the youth
5: NEWSLETTERS - 3 project newsletters ( Newsletters used to detail and show the project activities and events including photos, interactive links to the videos, interviews of internal staff, and stakeholders.Materials, videos, and photos from the events - Input coming from each partner)
6: LEAFLETS – a leaflet to be used to give short and easy-to-read information about the project A leaflet in printable format and PDF in English and translated into other partners’ languages Available on the website in PDF Printed locally by each partner - Distribution at local events, seminars, etc.
7: TRANSNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE IN Alexandria meetings with the participation of 30 youngsters from the partner organization list of participants with signatures, agenda of the meetings, minutes of the meetings, multimedia materials (photos, videos)
8: Religious Calendar of 2025 Each group presents its calendar
9: Icebreakers, Teamwork, Visiting places
10: International Banquet In the evening we will organize an international banquet where everybody can present their traditional food and drinks from their own countries and tasted those of the others.
